We are a third generation family-owned and -operated retail florist & greenhouse. My grandfather opened here in 1936 after migrating to the United States from Germany. He and his family(My Dad and his 3 siblings) lived on site and their home was attached to the workshop. Until 20 years ago it was customary to stop work midday for a full home cooked meal for our family and all employees. As the business has evolved, the residence is now primarily a storage area, but the family atmosphere remains.
It is our pleasure to assist you with any local, as well as worldwide deliveries and remember that corporate accounts are always welcome. For your convenience, we offer daily floral delivery to The Valley, as well as all local funeral homes and hospitals.
East Side Greenhouses is a throwback business. We do business the old fashioned way, the same way we have been doing it for almost 90 years. When older customers who haven't been here in a while come back, it is like a step back in time for them.
We are very few in number. My wife, Sandi, and I (Mike) are the only full-timers, but we have several part-timers and old friends who help out during the holidays.
Being a small local business, we are always happy to support other small businesses, churches and organizations in our community.
